Privacy Policy

1. Overview

LumaFiles is a file-management application for Android. The app is designed to work primarily on your device and to help you browse, organize, analyze, rename, copy, move, archive, inspect and back up files that you choose to access.

2. Files and storage access

LumaFiles may request Android permissions that allow access to files and storage, including broad file access where supported by Android. This access is used only to provide file-management features requested by you.

LumaFiles does not upload your personal files to developer-operated servers. File operations such as browsing, analysis, renaming, copying, moving, archive checks and local backups are performed on the device or to a destination you select through Android's system file picker.

3. Information processed by the app

• File names, paths, sizes, types and modification dates needed to display and manage files.
• File contents only when required for a feature you explicitly use, such as thumbnails, SHA-256 integrity checks, archive testing or copying.
• Purchase entitlement information needed to determine whether Premium features are active.

This information is processed locally except where an external platform service is required, such as Google Play Billing.

4. Google Play Billing

LumaFiles can use Google Play Billing for Premium subscriptions. Purchase and payment processing is handled by Google Play under Google's own terms and privacy policy. LumaFiles may receive purchase status, product identifiers and entitlement information needed to activate Premium features. The app does not receive your full payment-card details.

5. Backups

Backup destinations are selected by you. Depending on your device and the providers available through Android's system picker, the destination may be internal storage, removable storage, USB storage, or another storage provider you choose. LumaFiles itself does not operate a cloud-storage service.

6. Data sharing

LumaFiles does not sell your personal data. The app does not share your personal files with the developer or advertisers. Data may be processed by Google Play when you use billing functionality, subject to Google's policies.

7. Data retention

LumaFiles does not maintain a developer-operated server database of your personal files. Local preferences, such as app settings and Premium entitlement state, may remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the app. Google Play may retain purchase records according to its own policies.

8. Security

LumaFiles is designed to keep file processing on-device where possible and relies on Android's permission system and system file picker for access control. No method of electronic processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so you should keep your device and Android version up to date.

9. Children's privacy

LumaFiles is a general-purpose utility and is not specifically directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated servers.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app's features, permissions or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published at this page.
